Skibbidy doo-waaaa: THE USER'S GUIDE TO GARY! [Dec. 29th, 2006|07:45 pm]
How long has it been since you guys have watched Pokemon? 4 years? Maybe you've never seen it. Here are some helpful reminders:

Personality: Bigheaded Braggart. But not without good reason. Gary is actually amazingly good at most of the things he brags about, making him the ideal rival for someone like Ash, who is always ten steps behind. I assume that since he always seems to succeed, and from the fact he's a researcher, Gary is very intelligent. Like most people, he also has a caring side and is very dedicated to his work and pokemon.

Skills: pokemon training, battling, and research mainly, but the kid seems to be able to do just about anything. If Ash was stuggling to accomplish something (no matter what is was), and by chance he ran into Gary, he would always find that Gary had long ago completed the task with flying colors.

Romance: Gary was never shown actively persuing any love interest in the show, but he definitely enjoys the attentions of women. Afterall, how does a 12-14 year old boy end up with a convertible full of hot older women in the first place if he didn't woo them in some way? Any sort of flirting with him is acceptable.

Knowledge of the supernatural & strange: There are psychic and ghost type pokemon, so those concepts shouldn't be too foreign to him. I also believe magic wouldn't surprise Gary either because some tiny pokemon can spew endless amounts of fire/water/electricity/etc out of themselves and that seems pretty dern magical to me. Don't think he knows much about robots though.

Gary's relationship with Ash: Ash and Gary are childhood friends turned rivals. In the earliest episodes their rivalry was especially fierce. Gary was always pretty cruel to Ash back then; belittling Ash's skills and pokemon, calling him names, unmercifully showing him up time and time again, and just looking so cool in comparison. Later, the two regained some respect for one another. Even though Gary still pokes fun at Ash every now and then, and still seems just so much cooler, I'd say they're almost like brothers.

well, I'll answer any other questions.

CFUD gave me an evil dream [Oct. 31st, 2006|08:01 am]
I had THE WEIRDEST dream last night, and I know this game had something to do with it.

It's a little long so, to keep you reading here's a tidbit of what's to come: The dream may or may not end with Hiruma(ES21) giving me a rash.

NOTE: This dream contains zero triple-X thrown-downs

ooo! What kind of rash?! )

Long Intro [Oct. 1st, 2006|04:15 pm]

I guess I'll put something up for anyone who gets curious enough to come here, even though introductions are a little belated...
(dunno if I'm even really supposed to write this sort of stuff in a character journal. OOC-ness.)

Hi. I'm Samantha. Before I got into CFUD, I never really used LJ and I don't know the ins and outs yet, so if I come into the chatroom asking stupid questions try not to get annoyed. Also, I've RPed very little in the past. This is really the first 'club' sort of atmosphere I've RPed in too, and what a doozy it is!

There are tons of CFUD jokes I don't get, lots of references I wasn't around for, and probably lots of club etiquette I'm totally unaware of. When I'm in chat, I say hi and that's about it because I don't get what anyone else is saying, hee hee hee... So if you feel inclined to inform me of stuff, just tell me! Come on, don't be shy! I won't get mad. Also, if you have crit to offer, I'm not sensitive about accepting a good constructive comment. If something I do is getting under your skin, blurt it on out!

I haven't posted much, but I've done enough to notice that RPing Gary is a little difficult for me. Our personalities are practically 180 degrees in difference! Sometimes when I have Gary boasting about something or starting arguments I have to fight the urge to type, "SORRY SORRY SORRY! Oh my god, I didn't mean it!!!". I really hate offending people and getting into confrontations, even internet ones. This might sound stupid, but I even get a little nervous about replying to comments and posting. I'll sit there with words typed in the box, but too shy to hit submit!

So far I've had fun. There are still a lot of characters on here I have yet to interact with, but that's mostly my own fault. It ties in with the shyness I mentioned, ha haa...

And one more thing! If anyone comes up with a wacky idea you want Gary to participate in (anytime!) don't hesitate to comment on here, or find me in chat, or however you crazy campers do your contact thang.

Anyway, thanks for letting me in! Seeya round!
